OVERALL •
If you were to see Gracelyn from a distance, you would find she could stand out in the crowd. With her piercing blue eyes, she would most likely relate towards the typical anorexic model. Her soft brown hair falls past her shoulders, and her rosy cheeks give her the picture of innocence. Her legs showed off her dancer’s muscles, and most could tell that she shows them off with pride. Keeping with her mother’s full lips, and her father’s unfortunately sharp nose, Gracie’s personality keeps her from being shoved into the shadows, and becoming over looked.
Before her mother’s divorce with Gracie’s abusive father, she wore clothing that was most likely less fabulous than her wardrobe to this day. It used to range from ripped jeans and graphic tops, and now, it seems her clothing have a double identity. Some days, she feels to wear something a little less fabulous, as in grey sweat pants and a Juicy Couture sweat shirt. Then, the next day she stands proudly in strappy sandals, some flattering jeans, and an expensive blazer. You could say she comes from money, and would be true. Of course, if you said this a couple of years ago, you would be very, very, wrong.
On a regular basis, you could see that Gracie of course, cares about how her appearance is portrayed towards her peers. Though on the outside it seems that she is perfect, she is quite messed up on the inside. Not that she would be telling anyone this bit of information anytime soon.

POSITIVE TRAITS •
~ Courage
Yes, Gracie is very courageous. After her step-father had forced her twin brother, Christopher, out of the house, Gracie had to remain strong, and act as if everything was alright. She made a couple of ‘friends’, and found it safer to stand up to everyone as she had a couple of girls to back her up. At her old school, she ruled for the fact that many people where too cowardly to stand up to her.
~ Leadership
Gracie, you could say, is quite the leader. She, like all alphas, has her beta and follower, and is willing to do anything to put her and her friends on top, where they belong. Being the determined girl she is, Gracie can make whatever she ends up with, seeming to be like the best thing that happened to her, even though she feels different inside.
~ Loyalty
Though one might think that this girl could stab you in the back, it is true, except for when it’s her own troop involved. To those who choose to trust, and be-friend her, Gracie gives them all the respect they want and deserve. Never is she seen giving a secret of her friend’s to another person, unless of course, she secretly hates you.
NEGATIVE TRAITS •
~ Lying
Oh, this girl is loyal, yes, but she is definitely a champ for lying. When needed to skip a class, Gracie has about ten excuses made up to tell her teacher to explain. And she’s quite convincing, all from getting accomplices to help her out, and to creating distractions to make her escape. To make sure she doesn’t miss important lessons, she finds someone to write notes down for her to study afterwards. Of course, if she finds time.
~ Stubborn
Oh yes, Gracie is definitely stubborn. She is one of those people who knows what they want, and will do anything to get what they want. What if she has to tread over people to do so? Gracie will tread anyway. Maybe it will make someone look bad, yet make her look even better? Meh, one person's ruined reputation is definitely worth it.
~ Gossip
This is most likely a quality that Gracie shares with many teenage girls. She loves a good rumor (as long as it isn't about herself) and loves to spread it even more. Which is most likely why she checks up on susieskandal.com and such gossip sites daily. Nothing better to start a day, then to find something delicious about someone else.
PERSONALITY •
Gracie is quite sarcastic. This shows little of her past that she grasped onto. Her sense of humour relates to this, Gracie also uses it to keep herself confident. To show that she was still what she wanted most of all: To be number one. Thus, she would use this sarcasm to insult people, be-little them, concluding that her friends never knew if she was kidding or not. Gracie uses this to her advantage, and when least expected, she says or does things in truth. Of course, that would be once in a blue moon. Most of the time, she shoves the silly thing called her conscious into the back of her mind, to starve off of what was left of her pure, sweet, personality.
Though it might seem quite obvious, Gracie is quite insecure. It had started back in middle school and elementary school, while the cruel school bullies teased Gracie because of her enthusiasm for life, the fact that she didn’t care whether her shoes didn’t match, and that she refused to make a Father’s Day card in art class. You could say that Gracie was a social outcast during her elementary school years, and she didn’t like it one bit. If it hadn’t been for her twin brother, Christopher, Gracie most likely would never had socialised with anyone but to herself, an enjoyment she mostly kept to herself. To hide this un-wanted personality trait from herself, Graice uses the pain she felt during her childhood to become the most hated girl in the school.
Which leads forth to my next point: That Gracie is cruel. She can send you to tears before you could even protest against her hard, cold insults. If someone had told her she would become this when she was younger though, she couldn’t have imagined it. The kind, caring young girl with a sweet name, become a heartless soul? Though after her father started to go off to the bars at night, not even coming home for weeks, and her mother finally divorced from the man, Gracie’s life had tumbled down to near rock bottom. At first it seemed the idea was great, no more hiding under her covers in fear of her father coming to beat her, and ask her why she wasn’t good enough. Then, when her mother re-married to a man who seemed to only care for the benefits he received from his new wife, Gracie resented him to no end. And he returned the favour, and showed that he clearly preferred his own to his new found stepdaughter.

SIBLINGS • Christopher Johnson, twin brother.
HISTORY •
It started, at a trailer park. A dusty trail less travelled by, for obvious reasons. The very, very low class families are forced to make do with these conditions, what with their dirty trailers, less then achieving children, and the fear of not seeing tomorrow. “This house is not a home” to say the least, for Gracie’s case.
Born on June fourteenth, at two o'clock in the afternoon, Gracie’s mother was rushed to the hospital two hours away, screaming for all her life. To Marissa Johnson’s surprise, she and her beloved Marcus had not only one, but two children to celebrate for. As for Marcus, it was another mouth to freakin’ feed, in his own words.
Growing up, Gracie was a sweet child. Full of dreams, imagination, and life. Yet, not all was sweet in her life. Her father, had been going over the edge, ever since Gracie had came home.
First, it seemed that Gracie’s father never seemed to come home. His excuse was that he ‘was working’, and not to ask questions (more to his wife, than Gracie herself). Then, it seemed the Marcus wouldn’t come home for weeks, and only to run in and rant, tormenting his children with harsh put-downs, saying they'll never amount to anything.
While this had been happening, Gracie’s life seemed to be turning upside down. Like all children, Gracie faced bullies on the playground, and basically fitting in with her classmates. Unfortunately, they weren’t ready to accept a girl who didn’t care if her shoes matched, was way to enthusiastic for school, and the fact that she refused to make a Father’s Day card at school. The only company for this lonely girl, was her twin brother, Christopher. The rock, that she could always hold onto. The other thing that kept her going, was dancing. Gracie had taken a little ballet class when she had been four, until her mother could no longer afford it. Refusing to stop, Gracie volunteered her time to clean the studio, and watched enviously as girls her age danced, while their mothers and fathers watched on the side. Life had been full of disappointment so far, but Gracie tried and tried to look on the bright side, and make the best of her bad situation.
And then it happened.
It was on her tenth birthday, and Gracie was in fifth grade. The night her father had snapped, and as well as her mother. With a strict yell to leave the house from their mother, Gracie and Chris ran outside, to hide in the tree house. After hearing many yells, bangs, and shattering glass, Marissa walked out to retrieve her two children. To quote, she only said these two words: “We’re leaving.”
You might think that Gracie’s life was full of happiness afterwards. But, unfortunately, no. Their mother had found a new lover, but he was a cold, heartless man, at least, from Gracie and Christopher's point of view. He tried as much as he could to get the children to trust him, that he was finally here to stay. Until, Christopher snapped. He couldn't take it anymore, and finally lashed out on his step-father, and changed. He rarely came home, and when he did, he usually came at the early hours in the morning. Leaving, soon after. It became so hard to deal with, Gracie's step-father was forced to send Christopher off to military school, so he could recieve a reality check.
Gracie was devastated, and felt that she had lost half of herself. But now that her step-father has moved the ‘family’ to Radcliff Heights, Connecticut, Gracie has decided that she isn’t going to be the little, innocent girl she once was. Now, she’s ready to take over the school, and leave her past, far, far behind.

( PUT ON YOUR GLOVES )
they may protect you.
they may protect you.
This was the most at peace Gracie had ever felt in her life. The wind blew a light breeze, as not to make the temperature too humid, and the sun beat down warm rays from the sky onto the world. Add the salty sea air, and sounds of nature, and this would be what a girl like her called paradise. At least, after being stuck inside for the whole, dreary winter. Yet, something was missing. Maybe this was paradise for some older women, but she was a teenager. And that made an excuse for her to wish that some hot guy would come and whisk her off her feet? It did seem a bit perverted, when she actually thought of it, but right now, Gracie couldn't stop thinking of that.
For the short weeks that she had attended Eisley Prep, Gracie had obviously met some guys. That had been her goal, to attend a co-ed private school this time. Not some prissy girls only school; where they acted as if boys where some type of God or something. Nope, now the campus was filled with boys of all different types. While she had avoided those who wore more makeup than herself, Gracie had met a few that she felt attracted toward. Take Achan for instance. He seemed sweet and caring, but then, there was still that voice inside her trying to get her not to forget one guy. Ryder.
Ever since the dance, Gracie hadn't seen him at all. Not even a random pass-by. Nope, he seemed to have disappeared from the school after that night. At first, Gracie had thought it was just her imagination. She did have a big one, after all. And maybe it was some dream she made up in her head, from random hopes of finding someone to hang out with in this strange school. Then, she read on that Rumer Mill web site, and nope, he was real, just as she. Gracie laughed at the memory. She had been so angry at first, but now, it just seemed silly. Really, why should she be affected by what some loser girl at this school thought? Other than the invasion of privacy, it seemed like a little, stupid thing compared to what else others had done. Wait a minute, she shouldn't be thinking of that. Rumer Mill probably made those up anyway. They seemed to be too.. extreme to be true.
Except maybe the cat killing girl.
Anyway, that was back in Eisley, and Gracie was away from that. She was at the beach, and she was enjoying herself, no matter what anyone else was doing back at school. She doubted that anyone would talk about her at this moment. Placing her over sized sunglasses over her piercing eyes, she forced herself to look around. She had a feeling that she wasn't alone on the beach. Yes, she had been right. There was someone, who seemed to be looking right at her. Or, perhaps, her general direction. There was quite a distance from both of them.
Despite the distance, Gracie saw that this boy was topless. And he did have a great body. Sculpted, and something that girls died to have in their boyfriends. Also, he seemed to be her age. But who was he? He could go to another school, there where many different private schools in New York, but he seemed to recognize her. Hmm, who could he possibly be? Squinting, Gracie's eyes went wide (though most wouldn't be able to tell with her sunglasses on). Of all people she could bump into on the beach, it was Ryder.
"Hey Ryder!" Gracie shouted before she could stop herself. Idiot, she scolded herself. The last person she should be talking to was Ryder. He was probably wondering what her past was, and poo like that, ever since that stupid gossip article. Why couldn't people just butt out? Okay, now was not the time to lament. What was done, is done. Ryder was probably going to come over to her any second now, and she needed to compose herself. Deep breath, then take the plunge.
